About Me

Dr. Purnima Patel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of ORA Vision, a boutique practice where she combines world-class medical expertise with an exceptional patient experience. Her approach focuses on personalized service, advanced technology, and a warm, comfortable environment in both the clinic and her state-of-the-art office-based surgical suite. Dr. Patel’s goal is to help patients maintain their best vision while ensuring they feel genuinely cared for.

Dr. Patel’s clinical expertise includes cataract surgery, glaucoma, retinal diseases, laser treatments, injections, and complex inflammatory eye conditions such as uveitis. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Emory University, serving as chief resident, and pursued fellowship subspecialty training in medical retina and uveitis at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine/Doheny Eye Institute. Recognized as one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors in 2024 and 2025, she has also served as team ophthalmologist for the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Falcons.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Patel is a dedicated leader in ophthalmology, having held key roles including serving on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and as president of Women in Ophthalmology.
