About Me
Dr. Rachel Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis. She is known for a patient-centered, compassionate approach, taking time to ensure patients feel heard and supported while navigating complex eye conditions.
After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the University of Michigan, Dr. Shah completed ophthalmology residency training at Albert Einstein School of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She then pursued fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis at Emory Eye Center and remained on faculty at the Emory Eye Center, caring for patients with complex retinal and inflammatory eye diseases and helping train future ophthalmologists. Dr. Shah’s clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, inflammatory eye disease, uveitis, and complex retinal disorders, with an emphasis on clear communication and shared decision-making throughout care.
