About Me
Dr. Pooja Garg is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for the full spectrum of retinal, vitreous, and macular conditions. She combines meticulous surgical skill with warm, attentive communication so patients understand their diagnosis and options at every step. Her practice includes advanced treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, macular holes and puckers, retinal detachments, and complex lens-related problems.A South Florida native, Dr. Garg earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from the University of Miami, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and received awards for clinical and research excellence. She completed ophthalmology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan and a two-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Diseases of the Retina at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Garg has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented nationally, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hindi.
