Dr. Shailesh Gupta

Dr. Shailesh Gupta is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in diseases of the retina and vitreous, with extensive experience in treating age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. He performs laser surgery for retinal diseases and has pioneered novel surgical techniques for retinal detachment.

His expertise also includes the management of retinal tears, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and other vitreous disorders. Dr. Gupta serves as an Assistant Professor and faculty member at the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology in Jacksonville. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has hospital privileges at West Boca Medical Center and North Broward Medical Center.
