Dr. Drew Bawcombe

Dr. Drew Bawcombe is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of retinal conditions. His clinical expertise includes diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachments. Dr. Bawcombe maintains active interests in the latest retinal laser and imaging technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes for his patients.

He earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Buffalo in 2005 and completed his ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Bawcombe then pursued a two-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Florida, gaining extensive experience in advanced surgical techniques through hundreds of procedures. After practicing as a retina specialist in Central Florida for three years, he joined Specialty Retina Center, where he is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care to each of his patients.
