Dr. Peter Breingan

Dr. Peter J. Breingan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and comprehensive eye care specialist with a focus on laser cataract surgery. He treats a wide spectrum of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Breingan provides medical and surgical solutions such as cataract surgery, IOL implantation, glaucoma laser procedures, and dry eye therapy.

He also offers primary vision care and nutritional counseling for eye health. Dr. Breingan completed his medical degree at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and his ophthalmology residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, following an internal medicine internship at Winthrop University Hospital. He earned his undergraduate degree from College of the Holy Cross. He holds professional appointments at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Lenox Hill Hospital. He is a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and sees patients at OCLI Vision offices in Manhasset and Huntington.
