Dr. Christopher R. Fortenbach is a vitreoretinal surgeon and physician-scientist who cares for the full range of retinal and macular disease. A Seattle native, Dr. Trinh completed ophthalmology residency at Northwell Health in New York City—serving as chief resident—followed by a two-year surgical retina fellowship at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. He earned his MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Washington with a focus in bioengineering. After a decade away, he returned home to join Washington Retina in 2024. Dr. Trinh cares for patients across the South Sound and is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
