About Me

Dr. Peter Blosser is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical eye care for adults of all ages. He enjoys partnering with patients to explain diagnoses, review options, and set a plan that fits their needs—whether that means monitoring a stable condition or moving forward with surgery. A Johnson City, Tennessee native, Dr. Blosser earned his medical degree at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and recognized with the Dean’s Distinguished Student Award. He completed internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. In practice, Dr. Blosser evaluates and treats cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye. He performs cataract surgery and provides postoperative laser capsulotomy when needed, and coordinates ongoing care with referring providers to keep vision stable over time. Patients value his kind manner, clear communication, and focus on safe, effective care close to home.
