About Me
Dr. Ozge Sarac is an ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience, specializing in complex corneal and anterior segment conditions. At the University of Florida, she focuses on corneal diseases, contact lens fitting for irregular corneas, cataract and refractive surgery, with a particular interest in managing keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, and post-LASIK ectasia. She is dedicated to patient education and mentoring the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Dr. Sarac completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at Hacettepe University in Turkiye, followed by specialized training in cornea and neuro-ophthalmology. She earned her professorship in 2019 and served as co-director of the National Keratoconus and Refractive Surgery Center from 2012 to 2022. To further refine her expertise, she completed clinical fellowships at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia between 2022 and 2024.
An active researcher, she has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to book chapters, and co-edited textbooks on corneal diseases. She also serves as a reviewer for numerous ophthalmology journals. Outside of her practice, she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and traveling with her three daughters.
