Dr. Neel Desai

Dr. Desai is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at The Eye Institute of West Florida, serving patients in the greater Tampa area. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, corneal diseases, and LASIK, and is recognized for performing advanced corneal transplants and other complex cataract, corneal, and refractive procedures.

Dr. Desai completed his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and pursued advanced fellowship training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He continues to contribute to his field through published book chapters and peer-reviewed articles, and holds pending patents for novel surgical products and techniques.
