About Me
Nathaniel E. McIntyre, MD, is a pediatric ophthalmologist who also treats adults with strabismus. At Wheaton Eye Clinic, his practice focuses on the medical and surgical care of childhood eye conditions, including strabismus (misaligned eyes), amblyopia, childhood ptosis, pediatric cataracts, and tear duct obstruction; he also provides examination and treatment for retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. McIntyre received his BS and MS in biology from Purdue University before earning his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at Indiana University and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. McIntyre values communication and education—skills he honed while teaching medical students and residents during training—and he works closely with families to tailor care plans that fit each child’s needs. Away from clinic, he enjoys time with his wife and two daughters and cheers on his favorite teams, reflecting the energy and dedication he brings to his patients’ care.
