Dr. Nathan Cutler

Dr. Nicholas Carducci is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery and the medical management of retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and retinal tears. He is highly skilled in laser and injection-based treatments, including YAG laser capsulotomy, retinal laser photocoagulation, and intravitreal injections with agents such as Avastin, Eylea, and Vabysmo. Dr. Carducci earned his undergraduate degree with honors in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He returned to Michigan for residency and fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Center, where he received the Paul R. Lichter Resident Mentor Award. His clinical interests span medical retina, anterior segment surgery, and ophthalmic education. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. Dr. Carducci is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, fitness, and volunteering.

Dr. Emily Eton is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina conditions in both adults and children. She specializes in complex retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, scleral-fixated intraocular lenses, and advanced treatments for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease. She has particular expertise in pediatric retina, including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR), Coats’ disease, persistent fetal vasculature (PFV), and pediatric ocular trauma. Her research focuses on improving outcomes in pediatric retinal disease and strengthening ROP care delivery through standardized best practices and thoughtful training. Patients describe Dr. Eton as thorough, compassionate, and exceptionally clear in her explanations. She’s committed to individualized, evidence-based guidance so each patient and family understands their diagnosis and options—and can move forward with confidence.

Dr. Ramon Lee is a board-certified retina specialist at Illinois Retina Associates who treats the full spectrum of medical and surgical diseases of the retina and macula. His expertise includes care for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachments, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, and secondary intraocular lens issues. He strives to combine precise diagnostics with clear, compassionate communication so patients understand their options at every step. Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California/LAC+USC Medical Center. He then completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Associated Retinal Consultants & William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Lee serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Rush University Medical Center and speaks English and Cantonese. He has published in leading journals and enjoys partnering with patients and families to protect and restore vision.
