Dr. Namrata Nandakumar

Dr. Namrata Nandakumar is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreo-retinal surgery at Nielsen Eye Center. She is committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care, aiming to achieve the best possible visual outcomes for her patients by preserving the precious gift of sight.

Dr. Nandakumar's expertise encompasses the comprehensive treatment of medical and surgical vitreo-retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. She completed her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, followed by residency at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center and a fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Nandakumar also serves on the faculty at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is a staff member at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she continues to focus on advanced retinal care.
