About Me
Dr. Nadim M. Rayess is a retina and macula specialist who provides medical and surgical care for a wide range of vitreoretinal conditions. He treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, macular edema, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal tears, posterior vitreous detachment, and retinal detachments. When lens support is compromised, he also performs scleral-fixated intraocular lens procedures. His practice is grounded in research-informed care and thoughtful counseling so patients understand their diagnosis and options.
Dr. Rayess graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine and earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed a retina research fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, an internship at the Detroit Medical Center, ophthalmology residency training at the University of Southern California, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Stanford University. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at national and international meetings.
