Meet Dr. Molly Mccarthy Walsh

Dr. Molly Walsh is an ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in glaucoma and cataract care. She employs advanced diagnostic and surgical technology to accurately diagnose, monitor, and treat a wide range of eye conditions, from glaucoma to cataracts. Her training includes a glaucoma fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, and she previously served on the ophthalmology faculty at Duke University for over a decade.

Dr. Walsh offers comprehensive glaucoma management, including medical therapy, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). She also performs cataract surgery using advanced technology intraocular lenses to help patients achieve clearer vision after surgery. For patients with posterior capsule opacification, she provides YAG laser capsulotomy.

Dr. Walsh joined Carolina Eye Associates in 2025 and sees patients at the Pinehurst/Southern Pines location. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
