About Me
Dr. Mohammad Dahrouj is a vitreoretinal specialist at Mass Eye and Ear and an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. He treats diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion and retinal detachment, and also cares for patients with eye trauma and other conditions requiring medical or surgical retina care.
Dr. Dahrouj earned an MD from the Medical University of South Carolina and the American University of Beirut and a PhD in cell and molecular pharmacology from MUSC. He completed internal medicine training at Indiana University, ophthalmology residency at Harvard Medical School and a two-year medical vitreoretinal fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear. His approach combines evidence-based treatments and advanced imaging with clear communication, so patients understand their options and feel supported throughout care.
