About Me
Dr. Mohamed A. W. Hussein is a pediatric ophthalmologist and associate professor at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions in children, including strabismus, amblyopia, and refractive errors. His clinical approach is comprehensive, focusing on both medical and surgical management to ensure the best visual outcomes for his young patients.
Dr. Hussein completed his medical education and a master's degree in ophthalmology at Cairo University in Egypt. He then pursued extensive training in the United States, including a residency in ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine and Children’s Medical Center/UT Southwestern. He also served as a consultant in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Maghrabi Eye Hospital in Cairo.
With a strong background in research, Dr. Hussein has presented at numerous ophthalmology meetings and published many journal articles. He is committed to advancing the field of pediatric ophthalmology and provides compassionate, evidence-based care to his patients and their families.
