About Me
Dr. Shazia F. Ali is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in both pediatric ophthalmology/strabismus and cornea/external disease. She treats children and adults and has a particular interest in complex front-of-the-eye conditions, offering options that include cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, secondary lens implantation, and procedures to address strabismus, iris defects, and trauma. She speaks English, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu and enjoys partnering with families to tailor care plans around each patient’s vision needs.
Dr. Ali earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, where she also completed ophthalmology residency and a pediatric ophthalmology/strabismus fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital. She then completed a second fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Cizik Eye Center, UTHealth Houston. Her scholarly work spans pediatric cornea, cataract outcomes, and myopia management, and she has received research honors during training. Dr. Ali sees patients at multiple Kelsey-Seybold locations and welcomes new patients seeking comprehensive corneal and pediatric eye care.
