About Me
Dr. Michelle Tarver is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in ocular inflammation, including autoimmune-related uveitis. She provides comprehensive eye care at Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons, where she evaluates and manages conditions that affect the immune response of the eye. Dr. Tarver takes a thorough approach to understanding each patient's symptoms and explaining her findings, as reflected in patient experiences.
Before joining Solomon Eye, Dr. Tarver served as an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Division of Ocular Immunology. She also works with the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Devices and Radiological Health, where she helps ensure the safety and effectiveness of ophthalmic devices and advocates for incorporating the patient perspective in medical device evaluation. This combination of clinical and regulatory work informs her patient care.
Dr. Tarver is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been recognized for her contributions to the field. She is actively involved in research on ophthalmic devices.
