Dr. Michael Newcomb

Dr. Michael Newcomb is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care for adult patients. His clinical practice includes the diagnosis and management of a variety of eye conditions, with a focus on preserving and improving vision through medical and surgical interventions.

Dr. Newcomb has specialized expertise in the treatment of glaucoma, including medical management and surgical options. He also manages diabetic retinopathy with laser treatment and performs small incision cataract surgery to address vision impairment due to cataracts. His approach is patient-centered, aiming to tailor treatment plans to individual needs.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Dr. Newcomb finished an internship in general surgery and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He has been serving patients at Lexington Clinic since July 2012, where he continues to offer expert ophthalmic care.
