About Me
Dr. Michael Abrams is a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist and surgeon providing world-class pediatric eye care and adult strabismus treatment. He is Western Massachusetts' only fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to diagnosing and treating childhood eye diseases as early as the first days of life and adult strabismus at any age.
Dr. Abrams focuses on making visits engaging and comfortable for children while being informative for parents. He has conducted and published his own research, taught as a volunteer faculty member on ORBIS International’s Flying Eye Hospital, and helped develop Connected Health systems for global ophthalmology collaboration. His practice is committed to preventing treatable childhood blindness and providing comprehensive resources for patients and families.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Abrams has served as an associate professor of pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus and was a board member of the Children’s Eye Foundation. He brings a patient-centered approach, aiming to make each visit a positive experience for children and a source of clear information for their parents.
