About Me
Dr. Tara H. Cronin specializes in pediatric eye care and adult motility disorders, providing comprehensive ophthalmology services. She focuses on diagnosing and treating children's eye conditions and adult strabismus with a warm bedside manner and surgical expertise.
Raised in Madison, Connecticut, Dr. Cronin graduated from Yale University in 2000 and completed her medical school and ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. She further specialized with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh before joining The Eye Care Group in 2009. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and holds memberships in the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians.
As a Clinical Instructor at Yale University's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Dr. Cronin teaches residents and conducts research. She is an investigator with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, studying common childhood eye conditions, and has published research on nystagmus. Outside of her practice, she enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and family time.
