About Me
Dr. Michael Coleman is a board-certified eye surgeon with experience in advanced cataract, cornea, refractive, and glaucoma procedures. He specializes in laser vision correction and refractive cataract surgery, including the use of toric and presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (IOLs). His surgical work also includes corneal transplantation, treatment of complex cataracts, and glaucoma surgery, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Coleman graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Michigan. He completed subspecialty training at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been recognized for teaching and service, including the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching during training and runner-up recognition for the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Scholarship while in medical school. He values mentorship and remains active in the community.
