About Me
Dr. Michael E. Zegans is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the cornea and anterior segment of the eye. He provides care for conditions such as uveitis, cataracts, and corneal disorders, and performs advanced procedures including cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and conjunctival surgery. As Section Chief of Ophthalmology and Director of the Cornea and Uveitis Program at Dartmouth Health, Dr. Zegans brings extensive experience to his practice.
Dr. Zegans is also a professor of Surgery and of Microbiology and Immunology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly. He completed his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and pursued specialty training in ophthalmology at the University of Virginia and a fellowship in corneal disease and uveitis at UCSF. Dr. Zegans practices at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, Vermont.
