Dr. Maxwell Wingelaar

Dr. Maxwell Wingelaar is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics—serving as chief resident—and finished fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at The Retina Institute in St. Louis. His training spans complex retinal detachments, macular disease, and the full range of modern diagnostic and surgical techniques.
