Dr. Matthew Rolain

Dr. Matthew M. Rolain is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for patients of all ages. He evaluates and treats common and complex conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, and performs thorough medical eye exams tailored to each patient’s needs. In cataract surgery, Dr. Rolain offers the latest technology, including laser-assisted techniques and advanced options for premium intraocular lenses to optimize vision and reduce dependence on glasses.

Dr. Rolain graduated with High Distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine after earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hope College. He completed an internship in internal medicine and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident and received the UVA Ophthalmology Academic Excellence Award. He is on staff at Clarkston Surgery Center, Corewell Health William Beaumont Royal Oak University Hospital, and Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital.
