About Me
Dr. Matthew Kruger is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, corneal conditions, and laser vision correction. He has extensive experience with advanced surgical techniques including LASIK, PRK, and corneal transplantation procedures such as DSAEK, DMEK, and DALK. Dr. Kruger provides comprehensive eye care using the latest medical and surgical technology, with a focus on personalized treatment plans for each patient.
Dr. Kruger completed his ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he served as clinic and surgery chief, followed by a fellowship in cornea, advanced cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kruger volunteers at the Stout Street Eye Clinic, providing eye care to Denver's homeless population. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, hiking, and biking.
