About Me
Dr. Matthew Shulman is an ophthalmologist specializing in corneal conditions and cataract surgery. His unique path from journalism to medicine was inspired by a desire to contribute to healthcare, and he brings a research-oriented approach from his time at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland, gaining experience in high-acuity glaucoma, retina, and cornea care. Dr. Shulman further specialized through a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Wills Eye Hospital, training under world-renowned experts in advanced corneal transplantation techniques.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and German, Dr. Shulman is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive eye care to his patients in Miami.
