About Me
Masih Ahmed, MD, is a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery specialist at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine. He performs advanced cataract surgery — including premium lens options — and offers LASIK and other vision-correcting procedures. Dr. Ahmed also treats the full spectrum of corneal disease, from dry eye and keratoconus to neurotrophic keratopathy, corneal infections, and corneal transplantation. His care is collaborative and results-focused, with special attention to comfort, clear expectations, and helping patients return to the activities they love.
A committed educator and researcher, Dr. Ahmed serves as Residency Program Director for Ophthalmology at Baylor. He completed ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University, where he was chief resident, followed by fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at Baylor. He remains active in clinical research and professional societies and believes that thoughtful counseling and meticulous surgical technique are the keys to excellent outcomes.
