Dr. Maryam Ghiassi

Maryam Ghiassi, MD, MHS, is a vitreoretinal surgeon who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for diseases of the retina and vitreous. She completed medical school at Yale University, an ophthalmology residency at Columbia University—where she served as chief resident—and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Ghiassi’s practice emphasizes attentive listening, clear education about treatment choices, and collaborative planning to align care with each patient’s goals.

With an international upbringing and early research in retinal stem cell differentiation, Dr. Ghiassi brings a global perspective and a science-driven mindset to everyday patient care.
