About Me
Dr. Mark S. Hansen is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, external disease, anterior segment, cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. He provides personalized care guided by a philosophy of treating every patient as he would a member of his own family.
Dr. Hansen performs a wide range of surgical procedures, including cataract and intraocular lens implant surgery, corneal transplants for patients with corneal diseases, and various glaucoma procedures. He also offers laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK and PRK, as well as refractive lens implant surgery to help patients achieve clearer vision.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Duke University, where he was later selected to serve as Chief Resident, overseeing resident education and surgical training. His approach to care focuses on patient-centered recommendations and surgical excellence.
