About Me
Dr. Adam Gess is a board-certified corneal, cataract, and refractive surgeon at West Metro Eye in Golden Valley, Minnesota. He is a fellowship-trained corneal specialist who focuses on providing the highest quality care to help patients achieve their personal vision goals. Dr. Gess specializes in a range of advanced procedures including cataract surgery, laser cataract surgery, and corneal transplantation.
A graduate of a top corneal training program, Dr. Gess has extensive experience in all aspects of corneal and refractive surgery, including PRK, partial-thickness and full-thickness corneal transplantation, refractive lens exchange, and phakic intraocular lens implantation. He is actively involved in the ophthalmology community, serving on the Cataract Surgery Committee for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and contributing to its educational network.
Dr. Gess has an interest in overseas service, having worked in Honduras and South India, and speaks fluent Spanish. His background includes medical school at the University of Minnesota, residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco where he served as Chief Resident, and a corneal and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Utah.
