Dr. Maria Patterson

Dr. Maria P. Patterson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology. She provides comprehensive eye care for children, treating conditions such as strabismus (crossed eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye), pediatric cataracts, glaucoma, and tear duct disorders. Her approach focuses on early diagnosis and treatment to support healthy visual development in young patients.

Dr. Patterson completed her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and an internship in internal medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Schele Eye Institute and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Duke University Eye Center. She is affiliated with Aurora Medical Center Summit and Aurora West Allis Medical Center.
