Dr. Maria Lopez Velasquez

Dr. Maria J. Lopez is a cornea and refractive surgeon based in Boston, MA, specializing in cornea and external disease. A native of El Salvador, she completed her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University Doctor Jose Matias Delgado and pursued a master's degree in Ophthalmology from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, where she was honored as Chief Resident.

Upon relocating to the United States, she conducted two Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at the Schepens Eye Research Institute/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School.
