About Me
Dr. Michael Raizman is an ophthalmologist specializing in the surgical and medical treatment of the cornea, as well as cataract surgery and lens implant surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Raizman has been recognized for his contributions to the field, including his role in advancing corneal crosslinking for patients with keratoconus, a breakthrough treatment that has improved visual outcomes for this condition. His clinical expertise also includes laser vision correction and laser therapy for various eye disorders.
Dr. Raizman is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he has directed the Corneal Fellowship Program since 1992. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials and has published extensively on corneal surgery and ocular drug therapy. He serves as an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology and is on the medical staff of Massachusetts General Hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and Tufts Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Raizman has been recognized with a Senior Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been named to Best Doctors in America, Castle Connolly top doctors, and US News & World Report’s Top Doctors list. He sees patients at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in Boston, Massachusetts.
