About Me
Dr. Daniel Hu is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston who specializes in the medical and surgical management of cornea and external disease. He provides modern, compassionate care for patients with corneal disorders, cataracts, and a range of anterior segment conditions.
Dr. Hu's special clinical interests include corneal transplantation, pterygium excision, ocular surface reconstruction, cataract surgery, complex intraocular lens surgery, and presbyopic lens implantation. He also offers surgical and laser correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. He understands that patients with corneal disorders require close monitoring and works to ensure each patient receives attentive, personalized treatment.
Dr. Hu earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Storm Eye Institute, where he served as Chief Resident. He then pursued a fellowship in corneal and anterior segment conditions at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and Tufts-New England Eye Center. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
