Dr. Lucas Wendel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing since 2011. He completed his medical degree at the University of Iowa and pursued advanced training through an ophthalmology residency and a medical retina fellowship at the same institution. His fellowship focused on the evaluation and treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, posterior uveitis, and inherited retinal conditions. In addition to his specialized retinal care, Dr. Wendel also practices general ophthalmology and performs cataract surgery.
