About Me
Dr. Lubaina M Rangwala is an ophthalmologist focused on cataract surgery and comprehensive eye care. She takes pride in restoring vision and often eliminates the need for glasses through surgical procedures. Dr. Rangwala emphasizes alleviating patient fears and providing thorough guidance during the surgical journey.
Dr. Rangwala knew she wanted to be a physician from a young age. After a brief career in public health, she turned to ophthalmology for its hands-on healing and opportunity to build lasting bonds with patients. She earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and continued there for her medical degree. Her ophthalmology training was completed at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Previously, she worked in a high-volume private practice in Virginia and is now pleased to be part of Kaiser Permanente.
One of her most fulfilling experiences has been performing cataract surgery for the poor in rural India, and she hopes to continue such work throughout her career. Dr. Rangwala feels honored by the trust patients place in her and strives to treat every member as she would her own family.
