Dr. Lindsay Dawson

Dr. Lisa M. Tom is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist with particular expertise in cataract surgery and the full spectrum of glaucoma procedures. She offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), incisional operations such as trabeculectomy and tube shunts, and ophthalmic laser treatments, selecting the safest, most effective option for each patient. For cataracts, Dr. Tom employs advanced technology and premium lens implants designed to reduce dependence on glasses when appropriate. Dr. Tom graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Elyse J. McGlumphy, MD, is a glaucoma specialist whose practice spans medical, laser and incisional glaucoma care as well as cataract surgery for patients with co-existing disease. She completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute. After fellowship, Dr. McGlumphy joined the Wilmer faculty as an assistant professor before returning to community practice. Her clinical interests include newer surgical technologies and long-term outcomes in glaucoma. She has an active research portfolio with a focus on home intraocular pressure monitoring (iCare) and diurnal IOP patterns, and she has delivered national and international lectures. With a clear, measured style, she helps patients understand the spectrum of options—from drops and laser to MIGS and filtering surgery—so treatment can be tailored to disease stage and lifestyle.

Dr. Teresa Pauline Horan is a glaucoma specialist at the University of Maryland who provides full-spectrum care—from careful medical management and office-based lasers to advanced surgical solutions. She emphasizes compassionate, humanistic care and patient education, partnering with each person to choose the right path to protect vision and quality of life. In addition to subspecialty glaucoma care, she sees patients for comprehensive ophthalmology needs. Dr. Horan earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, completed an internship at Allegheny General Hospital, and finished ophthalmology residency at Tufts Medical Center before a glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
