Dr. Krupa Patel

Dr. Krupa Patel, MD is a pediatric ophthalmologist, strabismus specialist, and comprehensive ophthalmologist at UAB Medicine. She cares for children and adults with misalignment of the eyes, amblyopia, pediatric cataract, and other childhood eye conditions, and also provides routine and urgent eye care for all ages. Her approach emphasizes education, patience, and teamwork so families feel supported from the first visit through follow-up.

Dr. Patel completed medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University, ophthalmology residency at Summa Health, and a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. She is an associate professor and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Outside the clinic, she enjoys teaching and community service.
