About Me
Dr. Kristy Mascarenhas is a glaucoma specialist dedicated to providing personalized, minimally invasive treatments for glaucoma patients. Her approach adapts to individual lifestyles and disease stages, offering options like Trabectome surgery and other noninvasive therapies. She completed her ophthalmology training at New York University and a glaucoma fellowship at Yale University, where she was among the first in Connecticut trained in advanced minimally invasive techniques.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Mascarenhas focuses on the impact of glaucoma and its treatment on patients' quality of life. She is actively involved in professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society, and contributes as a volunteer faculty member at Yale University School of Medicine.
