Dr. Kevin Lai

Dr. Kevin Lai is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neuro-ophthalmologist practicing at Cincinnati Eye Institute, where he addresses complex vision issues related to the brain and nervous system. To help meet the need for neuro-ophthalmology care in the Midwest, he also serves on the faculty of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and holds an adjunct professor role at Indiana University School of Medicine, dedicating time to teaching the next generation of eye specialists.

His commitment to the field is demonstrated through active leadership in professional societies, including serving on multiple committees for the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and as an at-large member of its Board of Directors. Dr. Lai has also contributed to educational committees for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been recognized with the AAO's Secretariat Award and the NANOS Merit Award for his service. He has been involved in advancing telemedicine for neuro-ophthalmology and has published work on technology in eye care.

Beyond his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Lai founded Ophthalmology Review, an online resource designed to help ophthalmology residents prepare for board examinations. In his personal life, he resides in Indianapolis with his family and enjoys music, puzzles, reading, and board games.
