About Me
Dr. Nancy Blace is a neuro-ophthalmologist at the NYU Langone Eye Center, treating complex vision problems related to disorders of the nervous system, such as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuritis, and ischemic optic neuropathy. She approaches neuro-ophthalmologic conditions as puzzles to solve, using a multidisciplinary team of ophthalmic specialists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, rheumatologists, and oncologists to provide comprehensive care.
Dr. Blace utilizes imaging, medical history, physical examination, and clinical judgment to create effective disease management plans. Having been diagnosed with a neuro-ophthalmologic condition herself in medical school, she brings personal understanding to her practice and is dedicated to guiding patients and alleviating their fears. She is board certified in ophthalmology and completed fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Blace also serves as a clinical associate professor in the departments of ophthalmology and neurology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
