About Me
Dr. Keith C. Charles is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Mid Florida Eye Center. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, his medical degree from the University of Southern California, and completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University. He then pursued a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Emory University. Dr. Charles is an adjunct clinical professor and a certified international LASIK instructor. He actively participates in clinical research, contributing to the development of advanced lens technologies and pharmacological treatments that are now FDA approved and available to patients.
Dr. Charles specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal conditions. He performs advanced cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal transplants including endothelial keratoplasty. He also provides care for dry eye syndrome, diabetic eye disease, and general eye health. His approach combines the latest evidence-based treatments with a commitment to personalized patient care.
