About Me
Dr. Keith A. Walter is a professor of ophthalmology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He treats corneal conditions including Fuchs' endothelial dystrophy and corneal edema. Dr.
Walter performs Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) for corneal transplantation and offers cataract extraction and LASIK for vision correction. His clinical expertise also includes presbyopia. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at Emory Healthcare, and a fellowship in cornea and external disease at Emory Healthcare. Dr. Walter is board certified in ophthalmology. His research interests include outcomes in corneal transplantation and cataract surgery.
