About Me
Dr. Karen Grove is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained corneal and cataract surgeon who joined Orion Eye Center in 2015. She earned her medical degree in 2008 from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, a distinction reserved for the top 10% of medical school graduates. Dr. Grove completed her ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and subsequently served on the ophthalmology faculty of Vanderbilt and Meharry Medical College, training residents in clinical and surgical settings. She further honed her expertise through a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the world-renowned Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Grove is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cornea Society. She has presented at major national meetings and is published in peer-reviewed literature. Outside of her practice, she enjoys the lifestyle and outdoor offerings of Bend, Oregon, with her husband and son.
Dr. Grove provides expert, state-of-the-art cataract surgery and comprehensive medical and surgical management of corneal disease. She is deeply committed to individualized patient care and is passionate about restoring and maintaining clear vision for every patient.
