About Me

Dr. Amanda Selchau is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cornea specialist who provides cataract, cornea, complex anterior segment, and refractive surgery. She enjoys helping patients understand their options—from advanced-technology lenses for cataract surgery to modern treatments for corneal disease—and partners with each person to achieve clear, comfortable vision. Before joining the team in Bend, she cared for patients at Eye Associates of New Mexico.

Dr. Selchau earned a degree in chemical biology from the University of California, Berkeley, received her medical degree from Loma Linda University, and completed ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2020. She then completed a fellowship in cornea, cataract, external disease, and keratorefractive surgery at UT Southwestern in 2021. Outside of work, she loves exploring Central Oregon with her family and two golden retrievers.
