Dr. Karan Patel

Dr. Karan Patel is a board-certified refractive cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist in Bellevue, Washington. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute / Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Before medical training, he earned both a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.E. in Space Systems from the University of Michigan, followed by his MD degree from the University of Miami in Florida.

Dr. Patel has an academic background in ophthalmology and neuroscience, has authored peer-reviewed research, and has presented on topics ranging from corneal disease to advanced imaging techniques. He offers cataract surgery, including premium intraocular lens options, and comprehensive ophthalmic care for conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration.
