About Me
Dr. Julio Cesar Albarracin is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who enjoys helping patients get back to the activities they love with comfortable, clear vision. He treats the full range of corneal disease, including Fuchs’ dystrophy and keratoconus, and offers advanced transplantation techniques such as DMEK and DSAEK when appropriate. For cataract surgery, he discusses lens options in practical terms and tailors plans for people who drive at night, spend hours on a computer, or need sharp distance vision for work.
Dr. Albarracin completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Emory Eye Center after ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center and medical school at McGovern Medical School. He also speaks Spanish and welcomes conversations about risks, benefits, and recovery in the language patients prefer.
