About Me
Dr. Sonya Bryant is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in retinal diseases and conditions. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco and a retina fellowship at Tufts New England Eye Center. Dr. Bryant is passionate about improving vision and has dedicated her career to studying the eye and developing advanced treatments.
She provides comprehensive care for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and other retinal conditions. Dr. Bryant is known for her patient-centered approach and takes time to explain conditions and treatment options. She has been recognized for her research and clinical work, including serving as an official physician at the Summer Olympics.
Dr. Bryant is a Clinical Associate in the Tufts University School of Medicine’s Department of Ophthalmology and an Assistant Staff member of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She sees patients at two locations in the Washington, D.C. area and is actively involved in clinical trials and community outreach to raise awareness about retinal health.
